	ROTARY DICTIONARY PROJECT By: Donna Thomley

The Dictionary Project provides something very special: the opportunity for a child to own something tangible that encourages learning. We consistently see great pride in ownership among children who have a dictionary of their own and can sense, often for the first time, that they can hold the English language in their hands.
Volunteers are needed for this year's dictionary project. Please let me know if you would like to participate in delivering dictionaries to Dothan City and Houston County 3rd grade elementary classes. You can also request to be assigned to a certain school for presentations. There are 16 area schools with 1,268 students for our club to serve this year. Sign-up sheets will also be available at Monday's meeting. Delivery dates and times for each school will be communicated next week.
